Artist's Statement

The Art Doll Puppets are outward manifestations of the internal war between who we are and who we think we should be.  The puppets serve to illustrate and explore the ways in which this war and these identities bind, trap, and immobilize.  As the internal struggle creates a phenomenal distraction, the condition of the being behind it all begins to weaken and deteriorate, leaving it precarious and fragile.
